چکیده

Abstract Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is a malignant tumour of Head and Neck Cancer (HNC). The recent therapeutic approaches used to treat cancer have adverse side effects. natural agents exhibiting anticancer activities are generally considered robust potential. Curcuminoids, one the major active compounds turmeric herb, as agent for several diseases including cancer. In this study, cytotoxicity curcuminoids was investigated against OSCC line HNO97. Our data showed that significantly inhibits proliferation HNO97 in time dose-dependent manner (IC50=35 μM). Cell cycle analysis demonstrated increased percentage G2/M phase populations treated groups. Treating cells with led shrinking detached cells, which typical appearance apoptotic cells. Moreover, flow cytometry revealed induced apoptosis time-dependent manner. Furthermore, response treatment, comet tails were formed nuclei due induction DNA damage. Curcuminoids treatment reduced colony formation capacity morphological changes. Overall, these findings demonstrate can vitro inhibit HNC metastasis induce apoptosis.

Study of crocin & radiotherapy-induced cytotoxicity and apoptosis in the head and neck cancer (HN-5) cell line

Malignant tumors of head and neck carcinomas are the sixth most common type of cancer. Current systemic therapies for cancer show side effects in normal tissues and short-term efficacy due to drug resistance. Consequently, there is much interest in identifying new drugs for cancer treatment. Crocin (an active ingredient of saffron) has been shown to have cytotoxic effects on cancer cell lines. ...

Evaluation of Cytotoxicity Effects of Combination Nano-Curcumin and Berberine in Breast Cancer Cell Line

Background: Berberine and Nano-curcumin are two herbal medicines with strong anti-cancer effects on tumor cells, but low toxicity on normal cells, when used alone. Breast cancer is known as the most common cancer in women and second deadly one. In this study, we evaluated the cytotoxicity effects of combination Berberine and Nano-curcumin in breast cancer cell line to see whether they have furt...
